One Midwife

One Journey

Independently Yours

Midwifery Grounded in Connected Care

Independent midwifery care is grounded in physiological birth expertise, evidence‑based practice, and genuine respect for choice, delivered with continuity, compassion and clinical credibility across Wirral, Chester, Liverpool and North Wales.

People receiving continuity‑of‑carer midwifery report greater satisfaction, more positive experiences, and improved safety and more personalised care

Gaia Midwife reflects a way of practising midwifery that respects birthing families, with reverence and care for the interconnectedness of life between people, their environments, and the wider influences that shape their lives and experiences.

The Gaia Way

Continuity of Care

You receive care from the same midwife throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. This continuity builds trust, confidence and emotional safety, supporting maternity care that is respectful, equitable and inclusive.

Personalised,

Unhurried Appointments

Appointments are unhurried and centred on your needs. There is time to explore questions, preferences and concerns in depth to provide care that is responsive to individual circumstances.

Evidence-Based,

Inclusive Support

Care is based on current evidence and best practice, national guidance and respect for your choices. Whether you plan a homebirth, hospital birth or planned caesarean, you are fully informed and your decisions are supported.

Expertise & Experience

I offer long-standing and specialist clinical experience. In your case, this includes senior midwifery practice, governance and quality improvement knowledge, and specialist expertise in physiological birth.

Enhanced Postnatal Care

Postnatal visits are frequent, responsive and tailored to your family. Feeding support, newborn care and emotional wellbeing are prioritised.

Safety & Accountability

Safe, up‑to‑date practice, maintained through regular training, study days and continuing professional development. As an independent midwife, I practise within national standards of best practice, maintain appropriate indemnity cover, and work collaboratively with NHS services when needed.
